Welcome to the world of
J - The Woman Who Wrote the Bible
Had a great time at the 4th North American Conference of the Historical Novel Society recently. The "Debut Authors" panel was lots of fun. Here's a photo of me with another author (Terry Blain) at the booksigning session:
"J" is a Book Club Selection favorite...
A Woman's Book Club in LaGrange, Illinois recently chose to read "J" for their first book of the year, and I joined them via SKYPE to answer their questions and talk about everyday life issues raised in the book. It was a lot of fun for everyone!
I met via Skype with the Kol Nefesh Masorti Jewish community book club recently to discuss "J" along with Harold Bloom's The Book of J for their March book club meeting. We had a fabulous discussion--great questions, folks! I was honored to be talking with them about my book. This is what they say at their website (www.kolnefeshmasorti.org.uk) about who they are:
"Kol Nefesh is a Masorti (Conservative) community/chavura creating a new vision within Anglo Jewry where tradition together with openness to change and evolution is valued. We are proud to pioneer a community that provides a warm welcome and encouragement for everyone to participate on an equal basis, according to his/her wish and ability. We aim to provide a platform for critical Jewish study, to challenge our minds and enliven our soul."
Book Clubs:I'm listed at a great book club site--Readers' Circle.
